About Cabrera: the back story
The Cabrera archipelago is a maritime-terrestrial national park off Mallorca’s south coast. Excursion boats leave Colònia de Sant Jordi, where the park’s visitor centre is; to sail your own boat there you need the park’s authorisation (caib.es; miteco.gob.es).
By boat
Excursion boats run from Colònia de Sant Jordi in season; book ahead.
Own boats
Navigation, overnight mooring and diving each need an authorisation from the park administration (MITECO); day moorings are on buoys.
Own boats need the park’s authorisation.
Our advice: go on a calm day and take water; there is little on the island.
